The launch of the “Corona Relief Tiger Force” mobile app was approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He launched it as he welcomed the digital approach of the team in its combat against COVID-19.
The PM met with the Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar who told the PM regarding how the digital tech can help in effective operations of the Tiger Force.
PM Imran, following this, approved the Tiger Force app launch. It will have features for geo-tagging that will facilitate the smooth operations of the team.
Furthermore, the PM himself will launch the app across the country in the upcoming week. PM Imran said that the youngsters are an asset to Pakistan, and the best facilities should be given to the young volunteers fighting the novel coronavirus.
The PM said, “Violators of SOPs must be identified and the action should be taken on the spot.”
Back in March PM Khan made the announcement regarding the launch of a youth force called “Corona Relief Tigers” to lead the fight against the pandemic in the country.
PM during a special briefing to the media said, “We are calling upon all volunteers to help us in the fight against coronavirus.”
Once the “Corona Relief Tigers Force” was announced by premier, it formally started accepting applications from volunteers. The platform has received more than 90,000 applications.
