A few of the leading businessmen of Pakistan have formed a consortium to make mega-investment in two of the development projects. These development projects are Urban Development and Bundle Island Project (UDBSP) in Karachi and the Ravi River Front Urban Development Project (RRFUDP). PM Imran Khan was informed about this in a meeting.
In another meeting, the PM was appraised regarding Capital Development Authority (CDA) fetching Rs55 billion in two recent auctions of commercial and residential plots. This meeting was of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Housing, Construction, and Development.
In a separate meeting, the PM Khan said that the government will give incentives to overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan and send foreign remittances, the report said.
A consortium of top businessmen has been formed to invest in UDBSP and RRFUDP. PM Khan will be informed about the exact investment in both projects.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Governor of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Reza Baqir, Chairman of the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority (NPHA) retired Lt Gen Anwar Ali Haider and businessmen — Aqeel Karim Dhedi, Arif Habib, Abbas Mukhtar, Fawad Mukhtar, Faisal Afridi, Gohar Ijaz, Mian Mohammad Ahsan, Mudassar Mehmood, Tariq Rafi, and Asim Mehmood attended the meeting.
The PM was quite satisfied with the investment promised by these businesses in the two projects. The Bundle Island project aims to develop a new city on the outskirts of Karachi.
