The Royal Couple Prince William and Kate Middleton’s official visit to Pakistan has begun. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Islamabad on 14th October, for a five-day official visit.
At the Noor Khan Airbase, the Royal Couple was given a guard of honor. Prince William and Kate Middleton were welcomed at the airport by the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
For security purposes over 1,000 police officers have been deployed for the visiting couple’s 5-day visit. The excitement level of the people is high, as for the first the present Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are paying a visit to Pakistan.

Today the Royal Couple has plans to visit a school in Islamabad and a charity event.
Also, meetings will be held with Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi.

It is in the plans of the couple to pay a visit to Chitral and Lahore during their five-day stay.
On October 16th, the couple will pay a visit to Badshahi Masjid and National cricket academy and on October 17th they will visit Chitral.
The visit will conclude on 18th October.
After a span of 13 years, this is the first royal visit to Pakistan. Back in 2006, Prince of Wales Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla visited Pakistan for five days.
