Just last week, most of Pakistan was in darkness due to a sudden breakdown of the power plant at Tarbela dam. Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are the two provinces that were most affected by the power outage. Cities including Lahore, Bahawalpur, and Multan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sawat and Lakki Marwat suffered the most.
Similarly it was also reported that on the first day of Ramadan many areas remained in darkness.
