Commissioner Karachi Shares Plan to Restore the Tram Service

The Commissioner and Administrator Karachi-Iftikhar Shalwani has shared a restoration plan of the 9-kilometer long iconic tram service, which would operate between Metropole and II Chundrigar Road.

As per the shared detail, it was posted on Twitter that the Karachi administrator has shared a tramline of service which would be beginning from the Metropole, street library to Tower through II Chundrigar Road.

Previously, the Karachi administrator said that Turkey had recommended introducing the tram service in the port city, and the admin is working on the plan of relaunching the iconic service in the city.

The administrator had said that the route of the anticipated tram service would be 9-kilometer long and it would operate between the Metropole II Chundrigarh road.

It is important to mention that the Turkish Counsel General Mr.Tolga Ucak in September had suggested launching the tram service in the city of lights in a meeting with the Karachi administrator.

The consul general Tolga Ucak had mentioned that his nation was all set to extend the cooperation for operating a service in Karachi on M.A.Jinnah Road from Mereweather Tower to Numaish roundabout.
