CM Sindh, Syed Murah Ali Shah has inaugurated the newly built Sandspit road along the beach coastline.
At the inauguration ceremony of the Sandspit Road, the Chief Minister Sindh said that the road constructed at a cost of Rs.456 million would facilitate the ones going for a picnic for enjoyment purposes and recreational activities.
As per media reports, he announced the construction of another adjoining road to it soon.
Syed Murad Ali said a parking lot is also being constructed where at minimal 200 automobiles could be parked.
Manora, which is one of the famous picnic spots has been deserted owing to the lack of facilities, informed CM Sindh. He also said that in addition to the road a concrete wall has also been set up for stopping the sea intrusion.
He also said that the Sindh government has been working for uplifting Karachi and promised to make the newly built Keemari district a model one.
Previously, the spokesperson of the provincial government-Murtaza Wahab tweeted that CM Sindh would be inaugurating the Sandspit Road. He also wrote that mobile toilets have also been placed for the benefit of travellers. He further informed that work is in progress on the main Hawksbay Road so that the road infrastructure is improved all the way to the beach.
