In a recent high-level session, CM Sindh, syed Murad Ali Shah, discussed the law and order situation of the region. He appraised the police force’s operations.
The CM also appreciated the police operation in some areas of Khairpur and Larkana against 6 bandits. 2 of them even had prize money worth PKR 2 million each. The police force had also recovered the anti-aircraft gun, two G3 rifles, SMG, and a rocket launcher during the operation.
The provincial police chief gave a briefing and informed that no terrorist incident took place in 2019 whereas one incident of terrorism took place this year.
According to the stats, CM Syed Murad Ali Shah told the participants that 12 incidents of target killing took place in 2019 and 8 in 2020. In 2019, 1,239 people lost their lives and 1,209 this year.
He further told that 61 incidents of abduction for ransom reported in 2019 and 159 in 2020.
The report further informed that CM Sindh further directed the law enforcement agencies to finalize fool-proof security arrangements for the processions of Rabi-ul-Awwal across Sindh.
The meeting was chaired by CM Syed Murad Ali Shah while other attendees included; chief secretary, Corps Commander Karachi, IT minister Taimur Talpur, Inspector General (IG) Sindh, Rangers director-general (DG), principal secretary to CM, and other senior officers.
