Usman Buzdar, the CM of Punjab has announced a 20 per cent cut in school fees in the province amid coronavirus crisis.
He took it to Twitter and said that the parents would be provided relief of a 20 per cent reduction in the school fees of their children. All the schools would only be charging the monthly fees.
He also wrote on his social media handle that no school would be permitted to expel any of the teachers or the staff from the school.
Previously, the federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood had announced that strict action would be taken against the private schools in the capital city found not paying the salary to the teachers regularly.
He had mentioned in a tweet that similar advice would be offered to all the provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
He also issued a warning that no negligence in this matter would be tolerated.
On the other hand, the government of Punjab has taken the decision of setting up field hospitals at the parks of the province in order to offer treatment to the ones affected by COVID-19.
