The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—Mahmood Khan, inaugurated a 32kilometer gas pipeline in the Achani Bala area of Peshawar.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony of the scheme, the CM said that it was one of the big projects for Peshawar which would be solving the problems of low gas pressure.
Arbab Sher Ali—the Member of National Assembly, Pir Fida Muhammad, Taimur Saleem Jhagra—the Finance Minister, Arbab Saqib—the SNGPL General Manager, MPAs Asif Khan, Faheem Ahmed and others also attended the event.
While speaking to the media, the CM said that the project would upgrade the gas line along the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route, introducing the much-needed gas supply for the already present network for resolving the public grievances of low gas pressure, extending the facility to households and meeting the demand for the consumption of industry.
The project would assure that uninterrupted gas supply is provided to the industrial estate Hayatabad and the 8-new operation phases. He added that it would be removing the issues of low gas supply in the main city areas of Peshawar.
The CM said that the opposition political parties should avoid playing politics over BRT and other mega projects, adding that the government has introduced these schemes for the welfare of public.
