Usman Buzdar—the Chief Minister inaugurated the mobile health unit that has been donated by the Imperial College London at Service Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) on Wednesday.
He was also briefed regarding the SIMS academic council and measures for improving the medical facilities in Services Hospital. The CM made the announcement to upgrade the hospital emergency department and give orders for overcoming the staff.
He recalled that during his visits to the emergency department of Service Hospital, people have launched complain regarding the lack of facilities. He said that his father was admitted, so he is well aware of the problems of the patients in the emergency.
He added that the emergencies department would be improved on an immediate basis and the hospitals would be transformed as the healing centres and shortages found anywhere would be eradicated.
The CM said that the journey of change has been started from the health care centre and the patients would be given quality healthcare facilities.
He took into consideration the matter of overcharging in the name of car parking from the attendants and made it clear that overcharging would not be tolerated.
While talking on the occasion, he said that such visits help in knowing the facts and added that the open-door policy would be strictly abided for solving the problems of the common man. He also said that the government has totally changed the traditional culture of the government department as public sector institutions are open to the people.
He further said that people are his asset and their issues are solved by treating them as his own.
