Murad Ali Shah—the Chief Minister of Sindh has ordered for the hiring of 41,000 employees. The CM has directed all the provincial departments to begin the process for recruitment from grade-one to grade-fifteen against the current vacancies purely on merit and via a transparent procedure.
He said that on Monday while heading a meeting about the recruitment against the current vacancies. The meeting was attended by nearly all the cabinet members, Chairman P&D—Mohammad Waseem, Mumtaz Shah—the chief secretary and all the provincial secretaries.
The CM said that there were 41,000 vacancies of grade-one to grade-seventeen in various departments.
Murad Ali Shah said that he wants to fill all these vacancies for improving the performance of the various departments and give employment opportunities to the deserving and eligible candidates. He added that hiring on these positions would be done purely on merit.
The recruitment of grade-one to grade-four would be done on the local level via selection committees in which the finance and S&GAD representatives would be hired.
The chief minister also instructed the provincial secretaries that the women and the physically challenged personnel would also have their quota in the new hiring.
The meeting also took the decision that from grade-five to grade-fifteen the hiring would be made via testing service/third party so that the merit could be maintained.
