On Friday, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar assured people that the price of the Sugar and Flour will not increase in any circumstances.
CM also ordered the Agriculture Department and its officers in Punjab to strictly monitor the rates of the staples in Punjab. Any increase in the prices will be intolerable.
According to CM Buzdar, the price magistrate will carry out an investigation against those who will be selling these items at high rates. Moreover, he added that he will be monitoring the rates himself.
Usman Buzdar warned that raids will also be conducted if they felt a need for inspection. Also, he will be inspecting the warehouses by himself.
The government will provide all specialized machinery to the sugar and flour warehouses, said the CM Buzdar.
In Punjab, these commodities were being sold at very high rates which is why the residents were facing problems, and hence it forced the administration to take such action.
