CM Buzdar Approves to Establish International Bus Terminal in Lahore


On Tuesday, Usman Buzdar Chief Minister Punjab gave the approval to launch an international standard bus terminal in Lahore. He aims at improving the transport system in the province.

CM Usman Buzdar has set a deadline of December 10th for the concerned officials to present the design of the new terminal, which will be built at Thokar Niaz Baig.

As per the reports, he has also announced that alike terminals will also be constructed in Multan and Faisalabad while green electric buses are being introduced in major cities including Lahore.

Usman Buzdar instructed the concerned authorities to take essential steps for purchasing the buses and warned that any compromise on quality will not be tolerated. The complete process should be transparent and follow all set rules and regulations, he added.

He further stated that with electric buses, environmental pollution and smog will also be reduced.

Last week, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar had installed Firdous Market Underpass in Lahore.

The 540m long 2-lane dual carriageway underpass will help in facilitating the traffic from the adjoining areas with special arrangements for water disposal.
