PM Khan to launch the Clean Green Pakistan Index today. The index would be the first-ever barometer of Pakistan for measuring the green character and cleanliness of the cities called the “Clean Green Pakistan Index” (CGPI).
Malik Amin Aslam—the advisor on Climate Change said that the barometer is aimed at improving the overall green and clean outlook of the cities by starting off a competition among them on the different indicators.
He said at the grand launching ceremony, the PM would be announcing the start of the first phase of 6-month competition among the 19 cities of Kyler Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Amin Aslam informed that the CGPI has been launched under the PM Khan’s political manifesto and green Pakistan and environmental conservation and sustainability.
The data for the Clean Green Pakistan Index would be gathered by the municipal and distinct departments which would then be submitted via the Municipal headquarters to the Provincial headquarters and then to the MoCC.
The ceremony would be attended by the top key political and non-political representatives of the provincial governments which includes Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and the federal and provincial ministers, officials of the provincial governments, and ambassadors of the various nations.
