In order to shift the behavioral patterns of people, the advisor to the Prime Minister on Climate Change-Malik Amin said that a new “Clean Green Index” is going to be launched soon for all the main cities of the country.
He was attending a delegation at UNICEF led by Tajudeen Oyelwale on Monday in Islamabad.
As per the advisor, there will be 2 different phases held for this mission. The first phase would include twenty local cities/governments of Punjab and KPK and the second phase would be expanded to the national scale.
Also, the advisor mentioned that the government would be taking the responsibility to facilitate the concerned ministries and provincial departments to achieve the targets of the new launch “Clean Green Pakistan”
To make this happen both the ministry of climate and UNICEF have worked together and helped to create an enabling environment at national and provincial levels.
The Clean Green Index has been appreciated by the UNICEF representatives, not only this but also its main project called Clean Green Pakistan Movement has also been lauded. The representatives assured their support on their organization’s behalf so that the targets could be achieved.
