Pakistani Federal Minister and Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam chaired a consultative meeting on Clean Green Cities Index.
In the meeting, it was revealed that Clean Green Cities Index will be launched soon and the cities will be given ranking as per their performance in different metrics related to Clean Green Pakistan.
The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Pakistan’s Premier News Agency tweeted, “Advisor to PM on @ClimateChangePK @aminattock chairing a consultative meeting on #CleanGreenCitiesIndex. Clean Green Cities Index will be launched soon in which cities will be ranked according to how they perform in different metric related to @CleanGreenPK.”
Earlier Prime Minister of Pakistan launched a nationwide campaign dubbed as “Clean and Green Pakistan”. The aim of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is to ensure a clean and green country.
This will, in turn, promote tourism in Pakistan. The campaign tried to bring behavioral changes in the country by raising awareness among the public to play their respective roles in keeping the environment clean and green.
Now as per the tweet of APP Clean Green Index will also be launched. It is important that local bodies play their respective roles in keeping the towns, and cities clean and pollution-free.
