The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media division of the Pakistan Army has informed people to be aware of any fraudsters. They have warned the public from sharing personal details or information with the impostors. As per the ISPR there are people out there impersonating as army officials and inquiring people of their personal details.

As per the statement released by the ISPR on Sunday, there are many incidents reported of fake calls being made to the public by individuals impersonating as Pakistan Armed Forces officials.

The statement mentioned that the people were asked for very personal and basic information by these impostors. The information being demanded includes the Computerized National Identity Card number and bank account details. The reason given by these impostors to get the information is relating the census verification.

The statement further mentioned that people should note that no such calls are being made by the Pakistan Armed Forces. The citizens are asked to be on alert and not to respond to such calls.

It further read that in case any such call is received it should immediately be reported on the emergency helpline UAN 1135 and 1125.

Earlier there was the issue of ATM hackers spreading throughout the country and causing serious trouble to people. And now this issue.

The good thing is even relating the matter of ATM hacking immediate steps were taken and so are taken for this matter.

I a was wise decision of Pakistan Army to release such statement so that the public could be informed beforehand such unfortunate occurrence.

This initiative would at least put the people on guard and would keep them vigilant when interacting to random fake army officials inquiring their personal details.
