CPEC has opened doors for various business ventures between China and Pakistan. One of these ventures is an interest shown by a Chinese company Yutong Bus to develop bus services within city and outside city in Sindh
This interest was expressed by Yutong Bus while in conversation with Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Chairperson Naheed Memon. An 11-member delegation head by General Manager Shi Cun Tu discussed possibilities of starting buses inter and intra city in Sindh.
Shi Cun Tu told SBI that they want to invest in buses system in Sindh and are also willing to set up a manufacturing plant for this project.
This interest was taken welcomingly by Naheed Memon who said that the government is open for development projects in the province.
Moreover SBI chairperson asked about their proposals as per the priorities of the company so that further steps can be taken

For the transport system in the province the government is set to allocate Rs3.19 billion in the budget 2017-18. Out of this Rs2.29 billion are for transport schemes in the city and outside the city within the province. There are eleven projects relating to it. Projects like Green Line with multiple road transportation is being considered by the government.
Projects in Sindh include BRTS Blue Line and BRTS Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transport Service and (BRTS) Red Line. All these projects are Karachi based. Other than this expansion of roads and construction of circular railways in Karachi, Jacobabad and Khairpur is also under process.
Upgrading traffic signals, establishing integrated Intelligent Transportation System for Karachi and constructing bus terminal in Garhi Khairo, Jacobabad are also projects that are being considered.
