A significant gas sector of China—Sichuan Chuanzhing Gas Investment Company has shown interest to make an investment in Pakistan for discovering and producing natural gas.

A company delegation met with Ghulam Sarwar Khan—the federal minister for Petroleum on Wednesday at the Petroleum Division.

After financially aiding the gas exploration sectors in India and China, the company is now all willing to knock on the hydrocarbon resources of Pakistan, as per a press release of the Petroleum Division.

The minister gave complete assurance to the delegation that the government would give conducive environment to the foreign investors. The delegation thanked the federal minister for his cooperation.In the meantime, a separate meeting of the petroleum minister occurred in which he said that all hindrances would be removed from the way of gas market expansion.

During his meeting with a delegation of Mitsubishi he said that owing to a surge in the demand of gas, the investment in the gas division is essentially needed.

He further added that this is one big reason why the renown international firms are in touch with the Petroleum Division. Kimihide Ando—the country manager of Mitsubishi said that his firm is positive about making investment in Pakistan. He applauded Ghulam Sarwar Khan for providing facilities to the international firms and said that owing to the geostrategic location of Pakistan, it could take a lot of benefit from LNG.
