According to a delegation of the Chinese business community, 55 Chinese companies are interested to invest $5 billion in Pakistan.
55 Company heads delegation called on Prime Minister Imran Khan. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing was also present there. The company heads said that in the next three to five years they are willing to invest $5 billion in Pakistan. The investment will be made in different small and medium-sized industries.
Various sectors were represented in the delegation including machinery, glass, automobile, electrical, power, transportation, etc. The delegation praised the current government for its business-friendly policies.
This is the largest business delegation that ever visited Pakistan. It is said that in response to PM Khan’s last visit to China, this delegation visited Pakistan as in his last visit he urged the Chinese businessmen to make an investment in the country.
Back in April, Imran Khan visited China and signed various agreements of bilateral cooperation. He welcomed and encouraged their interest in the Pakistani market. He said that their interest reflects the trust of the Chinese business community in the Pakistani economy.
Khan assured that all roadblocks will be eliminated in ease of doing business.
Chinese Ambassador Yao said that Chinese investors have seen better government policies for foreign investors.
