Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the affordable housing scheme for the poor people of Pakistan soon after he became the official leader of Pakistan. Now China Silk Road Group has expressed interest in this project.
The China Silk Road Limited Group Chairman Yan Lijin along with a delegation visited the PM Imran Khan’s office on Monday. He said he is extremely interested in the low-cost housing project initiated by Khan.
Effective and affordable solution was provided by the company to construct the housing project. The company offered setting up plant for the pre-fabricated housing in the country.
Furthermore, Imran Khan welcomed the Chinese company interest in the housing project. He informed the company about many initiatives by the government to promote ease of doing business along with offering a conducive environment to the foreign investors to initiate profitable business ventures in Pakistan.
He said that there is massive untapped potential in the country to enhance the Pak-China cooperation under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It can lead to the two countries transforming from all weather friends, iron brothers to mutually beneficial economic partners.
According to a PM Office statement, during this visit the Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Housing Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusru Bakhtiyar, Secretary Housing Dr Imran Zeb were present.
