China raises Kashmir issue during the session of the UN Security Council

During the closed session of the United National Security Council in New York, China has expressed serious concerns over the deteriorating situation in the Indian-held mountainous valley.

China noted that Pakistan’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, in his letter to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), called upon the Security Council to take the recognition of the recent disturbing developments across the Line of Control (LoC) which increases the threat to the peace and security in the region.

The developments across the line of control include more than three thousands attempts to violate the ceasefire agreement, targeting of 300 civilians including women and children, the partial removal of the fence on the line of control by the Indian authorities in five different sectors of the valley, the deployment of the Brahmos and Spike Missiles for the purpose to use across the LoC, and conduct of several missile tests since the month of August this year.

China hoped that the Military Observer Group the United Nations in Pakistan and India to provide a detailed briefing to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) as soon as possible.
