There has been a change in the COVID-19 screening protocols of the passengers at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The passengers who are showing no symptoms of the virus would be permitted to leave for their homes. Whereas, the ones showing symptoms would be tested and kept at the quarantine centers established by the government until their reports come out.
The new directives were sent to the management of the airport by the Health Department of the province and would be implemented from the 20th of June.
The department teams would monitor the passengers arriving and the ones showing symptoms would have to be isolated at the quarantine centres of at the private hotels. They would only be allowed to leave once their reports come out negative.
As per the directives, the passengers living in other provinces would be given the permit to leave Lahore after a 14-day quarantine. Furthermore, only one person would be given permission to receive passengers at the airport.
