Careem Pakistan partners Edhi to launch ambulance services

Careem Pakistan announced its partnership with Edhi Foundation in order to provide swift ambulance services in the country. The partnership is focusing on providing convenience to the public while getting an ambulance in busy cities like Karachi.

Edhi foundation will use Careem’s platform to integrate their service so the users can book ambulances well before the time and reach the hospital or desired location conveniently.

Users can use the tab for Ambulance from the top menu and make a later booking, the ambulance will arrive at the time ambulance is booked for. It is worth noting that the service is only designed for non-emergency situations where the patient’s transfer is needed but it is not critical.

The service will help users to save time and make the process simpler while avoiding traffic and other delays. Managing director if Careem Pakistan Junaid Iqbal said, “Our mission is to make people’s lives simpler by providing them with a variety of convenient transportation solutions that respond to local needs. Quick availability of ambulance is a pressing concern and we look to facilitate our users through technology.”

Currently, the ambulance service is only available in Karachi but the company plans to expand its services to other cities of Pakistan as well. Careem also faced a row of cyber-attack in which the company announced that its user data is compromised revealing customers real name, email, phone numbers and rides data.
