Careem the leading ride-hailing service company in the region in Turkey, Pakistan and MENA, has recently announced about its intentions to expand its services. This time the expansion is targeted for the Republic of Iraq. This decision has been taken considering the company’s commitment towards broadening its circle to improve the transportation facilities throughout the region.
With the launch of Careem’s ride-hailing services in the capital city of Iraq that is Baghdad, the citizens would now be having access to much safer, dynamic and reasonable new mode of transportation.

The people of Baghdad can order their Careem cab twenty-four/seven by using the mobile-based Careem application. Using the GPS technology, the citizens could be picked up and dropped off at exactly at their choice of locations.
Careem has multiple payment modes and that too is adopted and provided by the company to make the entire payment procedure even smooth and hassle-free. The payment options offered and made available by the ride-service providers are cash, credit card or Careem credit. Multiple payment options help the commuters to get around in more flexible and convenient ways.
Careem had this objective of creating one million jobs throughout the Middle East and North Africa by 2018. By the launch of its service in Iraq, it is providing a chance of employment to the Iraqi citizens by hiring local captains thus making new job market and opportunities.
Mudassir Sheikha—Co-Founder and CEO of Careem on the introduction of the services in Iraq said that today marks a breakthrough for the company as Iraq is one of the richest countries in terms of heritage and is of significance importance strategically in the region.
He added that Careem is focused on overcoming the local challenges to ease the transportation needs of the Iraqis and to make income-making opportunities for them and their respective families.

Careem has started operating in Baghdad, the capital city of Iraq officially from yesterday that was the 15th of January 2018 and has plans of expanding to more cities soon.
Careem was founded in 2012, and now it is operational in above ninety cities across thirteen countries.
Along with the ride-providing operations, Careem has also made research and development departments and call centres in Egypt, Pakistan, Kuwait, Lebanon, UK, UAE, Jordan, Germany, KSA and Qatar.
