Today: Another Careem Captain Murdered in Rawalpindi, It hasn’t been long to the case of Careem’s captain—Junaid Mustafa shot dead in Islamabad, now as per reports another driver of the ride-service providers has been killed in Rawalpindi.
Sajawal Ameer—a twenty-two-year-old Careem Captain was gunned down by unidentified individuals on the night of Monday in Rawalpindi. As per Police Ameer was shot multiple times by gunmen as they tried to snatch his car away in Naseerabad police area. According to the officials, he was taken to a hospital, but he died after some hours on Tuesday.
Naseerabad police told a local newspaper that the suspects tried stealing the car, but the car had a vehicle tracker installed which halted its engine, after which they had to leave the car close by and run.
The car has been recovered and a case has been filed against the unidentified persons. The thieves took the cash along with the mobile phone of the driver.
A police officer said that police believes that the suspects booked the ride just for the purpose of snatching it. Ameer was from the Bhakkar district and was working as a Careem captain in the twin cities.
Ameer was murdered at 10:35 pm on Monday night. This is the second incident of its kind this year in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Careem has requested the authorities in one of its statement appealing to take strict notice of such happenings and should to take measures to improve the safety of the citizens.

Additionally, the statement mentioned that the case would be perused via legal channels and compensation would be given to the family of the victim.
This is the second case of Careem captain’s murder in recent weeks. The suspect in the case of Junaid Mustafa—twenty-six-year-old Careem captain, was nabbed after two days.
