According to the source, other major outcomes of the meeting included; granting permission to construct the office of Federal Services Tribunal in Karachi, briefing by the chairman of Task Force on IT and Telecom, approval of the appointment of the MD of National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC).

It is also said that the cabinet members would also approve decisions of the Cabinet Committee on Institutional Reforms.

Previously, the federal cabinet permitted the ordinance to legalize the creation of Senate elections through the open ballot.
