The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Pakistan has made the announcement on Monday that it would be planting 3 million saplings at the airports across the nation during the current monsoon tree plantation drive, as per the reports of local media.
The Aviation Secretary Hassan Nasir Jamy, while talking to the journalists said that the aviation authority has planted more than 1 million saplings at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. He further added that 3 million saplings would be planted at the airport during the plantation campaign.
The Director-general of CAA and the aviation secretary inaugurated the monsoon tree plantation campaign at the Karachi airport.
The deputy director-general of the Airports Security Force (ASF) and the deputy director-general of the airport services was also present on the occasion.
Previously on the 31st of July, the Civil Aviation Authority had made the announcement that it would plant more than 12,000 saplings at the Islamabad International airport and its suburb areas.
As per the airport manager of the Islamabad airport, the aviation authority under the PM’s Clean and Green Pakistan Drive, would be planting the saplings of more than three thousand species at the airport.
