CAA Appoints Flight Lieutenant (r) Khaqan Murtaza as New DG

With the appointment of the new DG CAA, Flight Lieutenant (r) Khaqan Murtaza, the body is expecting major reforms.


The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) appointed Flight Lieutenant (r) Khaqan Murtaza as the new DG. This reformation is expected to bring some changes to the CAA.

The first change is the transfer of offices of Director and GM Commercial to Islamabad from Karachi.

It is also stated that appointments of senior managers are also under review, and the junior staff who were moved upwards would be sent back to their prior posts.

Sources said that the appointment of Flight Lieutenant (r) Khaqan Murtaza as the new DG CAA is effective immediately.

Khaqan Murtaza will stick to this new post until further notice.

On this announcement, Air Marshal Arshad Malik – CEO, PIA – congratulated the new DG and sent him well wishes.

Khaqan Murtaza was previously serving as the MD of Utility Stores Corporation.
