The business community has asked PM Khan for lowered interest rates focused at the betterment of the business environment, as per the reports of local media.
A delegate including traders and industrialists on Monday met with the Prime Minister at the Governor House, during his 1-day visit to Karachi, and they discussed the issues being faced by the industries which include the problems of the gas tariff, tax collection, and fuel adjustments.
After the meeting, the traders said that PM Khan had given them the assurance to facilitate the industrialization process in the country. The traders were of the belief that during the meeting before the process of tax collection, relief should be offered to the industries for generating better outputs.
They also said that even the PM and the minister agreed to their put forward demands. During the meeting, the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Hafeez Sheikh said that they were taking more efforts that are targeted at the improvement of the economy and the businesses in Pakistan.
The industrialists had the opinion they were experiencing difficulties regarding the ease of doing their businesses and asked the government to address them on an immediate basis.
Previously, PM Khan while assuring the business community of his full assistance, promised to address all the reservations of all the traders.
