Shaukat Yousafzai, the KP Information Minister on Tuesday made the announcement to inaugurate the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Peshawar in April 2020.
While sharing his views he said that the final phase of the BRT Peshwar would be completed by the 15th of February. He also said that 50 buses are available at the corridor.
The minister said that the staff and drivers’ training is presently in process and the provincial government would be able for a test run of the project in the month of April.

While responding to a query, the KP Information Minister said that the government has given assurance to the apex court for completing the project in June as a precautionary step in case of any delay.
The top court on Monday had halted the FIA from looking into the accused irregularities in the Peshwr Bus Rapid Transit project.
A 3-member bench of the Supreme court led by the Justice Umar Ata Bandial made the announcement that its decision on the petition of the KP government challenged an order of the Peshawar High Coury from the month of November 2019 ordering the FIA to do an investigation into the various aspects of the bus project.
On the 14th of November, the PHC had handed down the judgement on the Peshawar BRT and asked the FIA to investigate the project and submit the report within a span of 45 days.
