Recently, Pakistan Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa had a discussion with Bill Gates about Pakistan’s COVID-19 response as well as the resumption of the polio campaign in the country.
Bill gates appreciated the Pakistan Army’s support and said:
for supporting the national polio drive and ensuring proper reach and coverage of polio campaigns this year.
The report also added that the COAS said that the country is effectively fighting COVID-19 and polio and that it is a “national cause and national effort. Further adding that the COAS will only deem the mission successful when every child in Pakistan is safe from the poliovirus.

Bill Gates added that his foundation will continue working with Pakistan ‘to make further progress in ending polio in Pakistan and improving the health of all children,’.
