Reported yesterday, a delegation consists of 20 members from National Defence University (NDU) visited Pakistani consulate in Paris yesterday, discussion and briefing with Pakistan’s Ambassador to France Moin-ul-haq on Pakistan and France bilateral relationship was the main agenda of this meeting.
Mr. Moin said that Pakistan and France currently enjoying warm, cordial and bilateral relations and working closely on the common issues of global peace and security. Both countries are aiming to further strengthen this relationship by visiting and meeting higher authorities, parliamentary exchanges, private sector collaboration, investments, education and cultural cooperation.
Pakistan has already initiated talks focusing on trade agreements with Italy as well, Italian ambassador to Pakistan has shown his keen interest to cooperate with Pakistan in order to develop textile industry further. Italian entrepreneurs and businesses took part in exhibition related to textile machinery which was held in Karachi. Italy is already investing in Textile, Surgical and Plastic industry of Pakistan and willing to invest more in future.
During NDU’s visit to France, Mr Moin said that gradual increase in trade with France has shown 16% increase in the last year it can further be increased for better future. He also gave reference to recent French Business Delegation which would further strengthen the commercial and economic relations between France and Pakistan.
NDU delegation is supposed to meet other departments in France as well, NDU delegation has a week-long tour to France in which scheduled meetings with French Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as French Center for Advance Studies and Foundation for Strategic Research are also part of this visit.
NDU is one of a kind Pakistan’s elite training Institution, it has excellence in academic and research which provides policy inputs regarding national security and strategy building, it serves as a national think tank for policy and strategic developments.
