Bicycle Service to Start Soon at University of Peshawar

The University of Peshawar on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CYKIQ for providing a short distance bicycle ride to the teachers, students and residents on the campus.

As per the press release of University of Peshawar issued on Thursday stated that Professor Muhammad Abid—the pro-vice chancellor and the CEO of CYKIQ firm—Hamza Afridi inked the MoU at the campus.

The University of Peshawar would become the second university of Pakistan after NUST—Islamabad to provide the bicycle renting facility to its customers on the campus.

The project is targeted at having a healthier, pollution-free and much greener campus.

The project would be starting with the delivery of twenty bicycles to the university and would be reaching the count of one hundred and fifty by the end of this year.

The deputy director of the student societies of University of Peshawar would be monitoring the progress and development along with the focal persons and employees as appointed by the CYKIQ.

The renting facility could be availed via the third-party wallet that is Jazz, Easy Paisa. The renting charges would be around rupees five to rupees fifteen per thirty minutes ride depending on the amount of time that a commuter would be taking to reach a particular or desired destination.

The renting space would be made available at the various locations of the university.

University of Peshawar is a public research university located in the city of Peshawar—Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.  It is one of the oldest universities of the country and is ranked as one of the highest rated universities of Pakistan.
