Asad Umar, the federal minister for Planning and Development has said on Thursday that the Diamer Basha Dam will reach completion on time, as per the reports of local media.
While heading a high-level meeting for reviewing the progress on the Diamer Basha, the minister asked to increase the pace of the work on the project.
Matters regarding to the acquirement of land for the dam, the construction contracts and other issues were discussed during the meeting.

The CM of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan, the CM of Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman and the other higher officials attended the meeting via video link.
Previously, on the 6th of March Asad Umar announed that twenty five water reservoir projects will ve completed during the current year.
The government had already made use of 42 per cent of the funds for the water resources’ projects that are up to Rs.20 billion during the 8 months of this year, as informed by the federal minister while leading a meeting for reviewing the projects of the water resources industry.
The traders’ association in the provincial capital of Sindh has announced that they would be opening the shops from the 1st of Ramazan.
