Despite the ban, Basant is being celebrated in Punjab’s city Faisalabad on Friday.
As per the details, a 30-year-old man lost his life due to electrocution while flying the kites. The man was died on the spot and identified as Shakeel. The details further said that the incident happened on Sargodha Road in Faisalabad.

On the other hand, an official of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has been injured due to the chemical string and another 13-year-old boy was wounded as he fell from the roof of the house when he was trying to catch a kite.
As per the details, both the injured have been shifted to the local hospital for medical treatment.
It is pertinent to mention here that aerial firing has also been noticed when the youngsters were celebrating basant last night. The citizens condemned such illegal activities and demanded the government to ensure the implementation of ban on basant across the province.
Afterwards, the police took action against the people involved in such illegal activities and detained as many as 132 people whereas the suspects who were involved in aerial firing couldn’t be detained.
The concerned authorities have confiscated more than three thousand kites and two hundred spools of strings. Police have also register the cases against the responsibles.
