Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has finally agreed to send its cricket team to Pakistan. Bangladesh will be playing two Test matches, an ODI and three T20s in Pakistan.
Earlier BCB rejected Pakistan’s proposal to play Test series in the country. Nazmul Hassan BCB President said that the decision was taken due to the tensions in the Middle East between Iran and the United States
“The current state in the Middle East is definitely different than other times. So considering escalating tension in that particular region, they (the government) have told us to keep the tour as short as possible. They (government authorities) have told us to play the three Twenty20s as quickly as possible in a short period. Later, if the situation improves, we can play Test matches. We are going to communicate the same thing to Pakistan Cricket Board.”
But now after a lot of resistance BCB has agreed to play Test matches, ODI and T20s in Pakistan. The PCB said, “According to the revised arrangement, Bangladesh will play three T20Is in Lahore from 24-27 January.”

The Test series would be on 7th Feb and 5th April while the ODI match will be held on 3rd April. It is pertinent to mention here that the ODI match and the second Test match will be held after the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Ehsan Mani revealed this agreement and said, “I am pleased that we have amicably achieved a resolution that is in the best interest of this great sport as well as both the proud cricket playing countries. I also want to thank ICC Chairman Shaskank Manohar for the leadership he provided and ensured the sport continues to grow and thrive in the two countries.”
