Syed Murad Ali Shah—the Sindh Chief Minister imposed a ban on plastic bags in colleges across Sindh.
The ban has been imposed on Tuesday. As per the ban rulings plastic bags could not be carried in colleges across the province of Sindh.
According to the details, the chief minister gave advise to all the students, officials and to the college staff to avoid bringing plastic bags with them while coming to the college.
Previously, in August the government of Sindh had made the announcement of making the provision a plastic bag-free by the month of October 2019.

During a media brief Murtaza Wahab said that an awareness campaign has been launched by the government of Sindh against the plastic bags. He said that nearly 50percent of the storm water drains in Karachi are choked owing to the plastic bags.
Dr Masood Solangi—the Director General Health Sindh also instructed all the hospitals being managed under the government to stop using plastic bags with immediate effect.
A letter was penned to the Medical Superintendent of the various public-sector hospitals. In the letter it is mentioned that paper or cloth bags should be used in place of the plastic bags as an alternative.
