Balochistan Schools to Mandate Reading Holy Quran

The schools in Balochistan are likely to mandate Holy Quran reading. The lawmakers of the province want it to become compulsory for the students of the primary schools to read the Holy Quran.

The provincial cabinet has even given approval to the first draft of the bill during a meeting that was held on Friday. The CM Balochistan led the meeting.

The law if it gets approved and passed would be applicable in the public and private schools.

They also discussed a 25-point agenda which includes heavy snow in the various parts of the province and offered prayers for the martyrs of a latest explosion that occurred in Quetta.

The cabinet has also given approval for the making of a provincial diaster management commission for helping to provide the financial compensation to the victims of natural calamities and accidents.

On the other hand, as per the latest development, the National Highway Authority has signed an MoU with the National Bank of Pakistan to plant thousands of olive trees along the highways and motorways.
