Balochistan Govt. Extends Lockdown Until May 19

The government of Balochistan has announced to extend the lockdown that has been imposed because of coronavirus until the 19th of May. It has also announced the strict implementation of the SOPs to contain any further spread of the novel virus, as per the reports of local media.

The home department of Balochistan has released a notice informing about the extension of the lockdown across the province till May 19.

The coronavirus cases count in Pakistan is increasing on a per-day basis and has reached 20,941 which includes 1,218 cases in Balochistan.

On the 27th of the last month, the CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan had indicated that the current coronavirus lockdown could be eased in some of the areas that are imposing the decided SOPs.

The CM made the statement on his visit to the COVID-19 control room that has been set up at the Civil Secretariat.

CM Jam Kamal said that the people are not taking the coronavirus seriously. He appealed to all the citizens to stay inside their homes as business will continue if the lives are safe and secured.

The lockdown steps will be increased slowly and the violators will be sent to the quarantine facilities while strict action will be taken against the ones who avoid wearing face masks.

The government of Balochistan is on a consistent basis providing the latest statistics about the COVID-19 epidemic situation in Balochistan.
