On Friday, the Balochistan government announced an extension in the timing of businesses till 12:00 midnight tonight due to Eid-ul-Azha which is going to be celebrated all over Pakistan on Saturday (tomorrow).
An official notification has been issued which read that the government has given permission to continue businesses at shopping malls and markets till midnight tonight.
This permission has been issued in the wake of Eid-ul-Azha and after noticing a decrease in the COVID-19 cases. Although, all the dairy shops, tandoors, blood banks, and medical stores will remain open for twenty-four hours.
Liaquat Shahwani Balochistan’s government spokesperson on Tuesday said that the coronavirus cases are reducing in Balochistan day by day and the routine of the people is returning back to normality.
According to his statement, currently, there are twenty-two active COVID-19 cases in Balochistan out of which nine patients are in serious condition. Liaquat Shahwani said that strict action should be taken against all those people who will violate the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) during Eid-ul-Azha.
A few days earlier he stated that the coronavirus cases have been reduced by fifty percent in the province.
