Balochistan government to start random Coronavirus testing from Wednesday

The spokesperson of the government of Balochistan Liaquat Shahwani said that the province will start testing the residents for the novel coronavirus randomly on a mass scale from tomorrow (Wednesday).

“Once we start testing people, we will find out where the ratio of the spread of the coronavirus is more and where it isn’t,” he said during a TV program.

During the program, he said that only after the tests of the novel coronavirus are conducted on a massive scale like this then it will be decided where the lockdown should be extended or not in the province. “The government of Balochistan will base its results district-wise,” he added.

It is worth mentioning here that so far, the capital city of Balochistan Quetta has been completely sealed after the number of the coronavirus cases increased in the city.

“All entry and exit points of the city have been closed down,” the spokesperson said. He further assured that even if the lockdown is extended, shops of essential items will remain open to serve the people of the province.
