The province-wide lockdown has been extended by the Balochistan government till May 5. This has been done due to a surge in the cases of the novel coronavirus.
A notification has been issued by the Balochistan Home Department in this regard.
The shops and industries that have been permitted to restore operations are directed to follow the SOPs issued by the government to control the spread of the virus.
The government said that those who will violate the SOPs will have an FIR registered against them.
Till now 465 know coronavirus cases have been reported in Balochistan along with 6 deaths.
In Quetta, on Monday three shopping centers and 200 shops were sealed violating the lockdown. Also, fifty-six people were arrested.
In another article, we informed our readers that the Balochistan government will start testing the residents for the novel coronavirus randomly on a mass scale.
During a TV programme he said, “Once we start testing people, we will find out where the ratio of the spread of the coronavirus is more and where it isn’t,” he said during a TV program.”
