Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) to be air-linked with the rest of the world via the imposition of a suggested plan for the restoration of Muzaffarabad Airport operations.
This was revealed in a meeting that was attended by the Chief Secretary AJK—Mathar Niaz Rana with the CEO of Pakistan International Airlines—Air Marshal Arshad Malik in Jammu and Kashmir House in the federal capital.
The meeting took the decision of restoring the Muzaffarabad Airport for the repair in order to make it operational for the commercial flights.
The meeting also discussed to write a feasibility report within one week for restoring the passenger flights from the capital city—Islamabad to Muzaffarabad.
Recently it was announced by Fawad Chaudhry that Thai Airways would be restarting its flight operations in Pakistan from July 16 in Lahore.
Earlier, Thai Airways suspended its flight operations for Islamabad and Lahore owing to the airspace closure.
