As per the reports of local media, the government of Azad Jammu Kashmir has reopened the tourist spots after the coronavirus situation has improved in the country.
Midhat Shahzad, the secretary tourism while talking to the journalists has said that the government has taken the decision to reopen the tourist spots under SOPs.
He also said that the families and groups would be permitted to visit the tourist spots in the initial phase. The secretary said that the government would be offering all the possible facilities to the tourists.
Previously on the 9th of August, crowds of visitors had visited the tourist attractions of the country for making most of their summer vacations after the government had granted permission to open the tourist spots after they had been closed owing to the spread of the virus.
After the government announced to reopen the tourist spots soon after that tourists had started going towards Thandiani, Murree, Nathia Gali, Swat among the other tourist spots as tourism had resumed on the 8th of August in the country.
Pakistan had closed tourism in the month of March after COVID-19 cases started increasing in the country.
