Asus Zenfone 8 Series - Flip Camera setup might be ditched

We already know that ASUS is bringing its new ZenFone 8 series on May 12th. The launch will be conducted via an event that will start at 7 PM CEST (10:30 PM IST) on May 12, 2021. This launch will bring three new smartphones, including the ZenFone 8, ZenFone 8 Pro, and the ZenFone 8 Mini. We also heard that these handsets would come with a flip camera setup. But it seems ASUS is not prepared for it. This could be a shock for fans who were waiting for a flip camera for a long time.

In a recent tweet from ASUS, we learned that the upcoming event might not introduce any smartphone with a flip camera. Instead, the company would keep it simple and bring the new series with a standard rear-camera setup.

However, this is merely speculation. The teaser video could have used a generic graphic, making us even more anxious about the new device.

On the other hand, the ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Pro smartphones were recently spotted on the Geekbench fro where we have developed an expectation that these two smartphones could bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The display on the ZenFone 8 Mini could be 5.9″ with a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it is also expected that this phone might have a 64MP rear camera setup. Most of the information we just here are our expectations. We would have to wait a bit more (no more than 15 days) to know all about the upcoming ASUS ZenFone 8 series.
