Apple Launches New Refreshed MacBook Air 2020

MacBook Air

Apple has now launched MacBook Air Pro 2020 Officially

Apple introduced its first MacBook Air twelve years ago, and the most compact MacBook is now in its ninth generation. As usual, Apple relies on rather less relevant information regarding concrete performance data and speaks of “up to twice the CPU performance and up to 80 percent faster graphics performance”, with improvements when typing with the new Magic Keyboard, a memory capacity of at least 256 GB and other adaptations, however, there is definitely proper model maintenance here.

Quad-core And More Memory Is Featured

A closer look at the built-in processor shows that Apple offers a quad-core processor for the first time in the MacBook Air. 10th generation Intel Core processors are used, with a choice of 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core i3, 1.1 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 and 1.2 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7. The graphics performance is realized with Intel Iris Plus Graphics. The basic model is equipped with 8GB 3733MHz LPDDR4X RAM, 16GB are available as an option. In addition to the increased minimum memory of 256GB, Apple offers 512GB, 1TB or 2TB SSDs as an upgrade option, all memory modules are based on PCIe.

Display and connection upgrade

The display has something to expect: a 13.3-inch diagonal with LED background lighting and IPS technology, with a native resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, 227ppi and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The Display Port output via USB‑C Type enables the connection of up to 6K displays at 60Hz.

The keyboard is now a magic keyboard

Apple has had its problems with notebook keyboards in recent years. With the new MacBook Air, the new Magic Keyboard—presented with the 16-inch MacBook Pro should provide a reliable typing experience. The new scissor mechanism comes in the 1.61 cm high housing with a lifting height of 1mm.

Pricing and availability of the new MacBook Air

The new MacBook Air can now be found in Apple’s online store, the price for the basic model is $999 or 1199 euros, with all options available, 2579 euros will be charged. The delivery should take place with the current order between April 6th and 15th, a pickup is currently not possible due to the Apple stores closed by the Coronavirus crisis.
