Tehreek-e-Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah has given warning of another protest and March towards Islamabad on Jan 4th unless the government reveals the Raja Zafarul Haq report that queried the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat clause issue.
The party clearly states that on January 4th it will observe the death anniversary of Mumtaz Qadri. Qadri was hanged on February 29 last year while on January 4th Punjab governor Salman Taseer was assassinated by Qadri in 2011.
Dr Muhammad Shafiq Amin, the K-P chief of the Tehreek said that the march on Jan 4th “will be converted into a sit-in if the government fails to make the report public.”
Also it was announced that an FIR will be placed against the interior minister over his statement on November 26 on killing of Faizabad protesters in police action. He informed that the people who died because of police action were more than 7. He claimed that the government is hiding the real truth about death toll.
Moreover, he said that the government tried to offer them profitable compensation package over those who died in Faiazabad sit-in but it was refused “as it is tantamount to betraying with the blood of the martyrs”.
Furthermore he criticized Dr Tahir-ul Qadri of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) for making a statement against them. He said that Tehreek-e-Labbaik was the only party that raised voice against the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat oath issue.
He asked that why the government has not revealed the inquiry report despite 52 days gone by. As for the law minister’s resignation, he said it was justified as he introduced the change in the declaration.
The heads-up for people inhabiting in Islamabad is that they might face similar traffic jams and issues again in their city. If the Islamist groups again march in to Islamabad, the recent situation we encountered in the capital might just repeat.
