Amazon Australia to be launched on Black Friday

Amazon is all set to launch its Australia specific store within the next two weeks on black Friday.

Different business in Australia would be able to sell their products directly on Amazon site. Amazon is generating emails to the local retailers and calling them to join the network. The world’s biggest online retailer is now focusing on Australia for its online expansion.

Two people familiar with the plans Amazon has got confirmed that Amazon’s objective is to go live by Black Friday which is on November 24. However, the launch date is not finalized yet, because it’s a holiday shopping season, Amazon is trying its best to launch the product at that time both people confirmed.

According to Peter Kearns from 180Commerce, a US based tech companies that provides services to Amazon seller said, Amazon has been actively involved engaging sellers from Australia as well as the United States in order to fill its Australian Amazon store.

However, Amazon was not available for immediate comment on the News.

Since it’s a part of Amazon’s global expansion strategy, the US retail giant is working hard to get their plans implemented on time. Amazon has already launched its prime membership services to India and China last year, the company has also bought Middle East Ecommerce giant Souq.com this year.

According Amazon’s country manager Australia, Rocco Braeuniger said during the Amazon Seller Summit on Monday, “The company is launching really, really soon.”

Before this development, Amazon’s presence in Australia has been quite limited only selling Kindle and e-books, Amazon web services and Amazon’s Prime Video Service which was launched in December last year.

Australia could be the next big market for Amazon, the company has begun recruiting various roles for the country including AmazonFresh grocery delivery department.
