On Tuesday, Altaf Hussain—the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder was arrested by the Scotland Yard in an early morning raid.

As per media reports, Altaf Hussain was arrested in the morning and was taken to a local police station. 15 officers took part in the dawn raid at his home in North London.

It is believed that Altaf Hussain has been apprehended in accordance to the hate speech of 2016 in which he had asked his followers to take law into their own hands. Also, Altaf Hussain had issued violent threats to the ex-DG Rangers—Major General Bilal Akbar.

As per media reports, the arrest of the founder of MQM has not been communicated officially. But, a team of Scotland Yard which paid a visit o Pakistan has been given the proof regarding momey laundering by FIA.

Altaf Hussain has been shifted to a police station in central London.
